Code of Conduct for employees and suppliers of ODW-ELEKTRIK GmbH
This Code of Conduct is an integral part of ODW-ELEKTRIK GmbH’s corporate policy. Our corporate policy defines the essential values and behavioural rules, and is a central guideline for today and the future.
This Code of Contact applies for ODW-ELEKTRIK GmbH and its national and international subsidiaries (hereafter referred to as “ODW-ELEKTRIK”) as well as its suppliers, partners and service providers, which provide ODW-ELEKTRIK with know-how, software, energy, direct and indirect material or investment goods. Furthermore, the Code of Conduct shall apply to all employees of these companies without regard to the function and position.
The employees and suppliers of ODW-ELEKTRIK are committed to comply with the standards of this Code of Conduct.
The laws and regulations applicable to us are binding; applicable are the laws and regulations of the respective country in which ODW-ELEKTRIK employees and suppliers operate.
Every employee has the opportunity to report infringements anonymously, thus proactively protecting ODW-ELEKTRIK and supporting the fulfilment of our obligations as a company.
The following rules are based on the internationally recognized Global Compact principles of the United Nations and the established minimum standards of the International Labour Organization of the United Nations (ILO).
Human rights
We accept and respect international human rights in accordance with national laws and customs. Within our sphere of influence, we will promote compliance and will not participate in human rights violations.
Forced labour, child labour and human trafficking
We expressly condemn all forms of forced labour, child labour, as well as human trafficking.
Rights of employees
We respect the rights of our employees, and by strategic actions, we promote fair and respectful daily coexistence and even more. Compliance with the country-specific legislation with regard to working time, wages and social benefits, as well as freedom of negotiation and collective bargaining is the basis for our actions.
Discrimination
We will not accept any harassment or discrimination against employees. This applies without restriction to gender, social position, skin colour, political opinion, origin, religion, age, pregnancy, sexual identity as well as physical and mental impairment.
Environment and sustainable resource management
Within the framework of our environmental responsibility and with the aim of sustainable value and supply chains, ODW-ELEKTRIK ensures that in all our actions we reduce the environmental impact to a minimum by saving energy and water, reducing waste and applying the laws of the respective country in which we operate. We are committed to promote the environmental awareness of our employees and suppliers, in order to mitigate the advancing climate change and to conserve our natural resources.
Data protection, data security and confidentiality
ODW-ELEKTRIK is committed to protecting confidential, secret and personal data as part of its business activities. We store and use data in accordance with the provisions of data protection laws and with the legal and company regulations on information security. We ensure that data is protected against misuse such as unauthorised use, modification or deletion. Suitable technical and organisational measures (e. g. Non-Disclosure-Agreements) in accordance with state of the art technology are used for this purpose.
Corruption, money laundering and bribery
ODW-ELEKTRIK condemns all types of corruption, money laundering and bribery, which means neither to use, nor to pursue business relations based on corruption, money laundering and bribery. We support the free and fair competition of all market participants with our actions.
Free market, fair competition and lawful cross-border trade with goods
ODW-ELEKTRIK promotes fair competition and complies with antitrust law as well as other competition-regulating requirements and competition-protecting laws. Agreements restricting competition, such as price fixing and cartel agreements with competitors, suppliers or customers are not tolerated. ODW-ELEKTRIK also expects this attitude from its business partners. As an international company, we comply with all trade regulations and import and export control laws that affect our business transactions. Furthermore, we always take into account the necessary sanction lists.
Conflict of interests
Situations or actions are to be avoided in which personal interests might conflict with those of ODW-ELEKTRIK. The function or position at ODW-ELEKTRIK is not to be used for personal advantage or for the advantage of third parties (for example part-time employment, advantage of relatives or close persons).
